A832, A890 – Garve to Lochcarron
Background Information:
Survey work was carried out in 2004 which looked in detail at specific locations on the A832 (Achnasheen) where there are high deer numbers in close proximity to the road and where crashes are occurring.
Monitoring of this road has illustrated that, as a result of new fences being erected, the majority of accidents occur between Achnasheen and Lochcarron.
It has been agreed that this road will remain a site for assessment and DCS will continue to collect information on the location and volume of collisions involving deer, between Achnasheen and Lochcarron
