The Joint Working Programme

Sites are brought onto the Joint Working programme where they have been assessed to be in unfavourable condition in relation to grazing and trampling impacts. Often more detailed survey work is required to better establish the nature and distribution of these impacts. Sometimes, the problems can be addressed by small adjustments to management practices.
Solutions need to take account of the natural deer range and the practicalities of land ownership patterns.

The work programme details the now considerable number of sites where agencies are working together with land managers to help address these impacts.
